ISTAART Technology PIA: Meet the Author
April 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

How can artificial intelligence help clinicians better distinguish between different types of dementia. And what happens when we combine multiple data sources to improve diagnostic accuracy.
This ISTAART Technology and Dementia PIA Journal Club brings together early career researchers and established experts to explore how multimodal AI is shaping the future of dementia diagnosis.
In this session, Sol Morrissey will present research on AI based differential diagnosis of dementia etiologies using multimodal data. The work explores how combining imaging, clinical, and other datasets can improve diagnostic precision and support clinical decision making.
Following the presentation, author Vijaya Kolachalama will join for a live Q and A, offering additional insight into the research and its implications for practice and future study.
The session is moderated by Sayeh Bayat and is designed to encourage discussion, questions, and shared learning across disciplines.
