Tell us a little about yourself:
Dr Ta-we Guu obtained his PhD in the IoPPN, KCL, is a consultant psychiatrist/sleep medicine specialist, and assistant professor of psychiatry. He has been interested in sleep, depression and dementia, and exploring the interactions between them and lifestyle and environmental factors such as physical activity, nutrition and ambient light. He believes the advance in AI and wearable technology will ultimately improve the understanding, measurement, and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
To save the lovely earth (and money), I try my best to bring my own foldable bike with me to go abroad for city tours.
Why did you choose to work in dementia?
I’ve seen too many caregivers burned out due to caring people living with dementia, and wanted to do something for them.
