Tell us a little about yourself:
I am a post-doctoral research fellow and a science communicator with a passion to defeat Alzheimer’s disease. I completed my PhD in the Faculty of Clinical and Experimental Neuroscience in 2017 where I developed an understanding of the neuroanatomical pathways involved in the entry and clearance of drugs and toxins from the brain. My work was supported by a pharmaceutical company and is key for the development of treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disorders including multiple sclerosis and brain tumours. I delivered a TEDx talk, and was the 3-minute thesis national champion of 2016, as a result of this I have received significant recognition from the EU and Middle East for my science presentations.
