Alzheimer’s Association Networking Reception at GSA 2026
November 5 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

If you are heading to the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Annual Scientific Meeting in National Harbor, the Alzheimer’s Association is hosting an informal networking reception on the Thursday evening.
It is a relaxed chance to meet Association staff and find out about the work and opportunities they support. Topics on the table include ISTAART, the Association’s research grants and the Alzheimer’s & Dementia journal; putting research advances into clinical practice; LINC-AD, the Summer Research Institute and the Center for Dementia Respite Innovation; public health and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; and resources for care professionals.
For early career researchers it is a good way to put faces to names before applying for funding, or to ask about getting involved with ISTAART’s PIA to Elevate Early Career Researchers or becoming an Alzheimer’s Association grant reviewer. If receptions are not your natural habitat, our guides to professional networking and networking for introverted scientists are worth a read first.
Registration
The reception takes place at McCormick & Schmick’s, 145 National Plaza, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, on Thursday 5 November from 4pm to 6pm (US Eastern Time). Space is limited, so please RSVP in advance using the link below. Questions can go to Isabella Marini at immarini@alz.org.
