Biomarkers: health system implementation
April 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Rapid scientific progress in plasma biomarkers is transforming the possibilities for earlier and more accessible diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Yet translating these advances into routine clinical practice presents significant challenges, including demonstrating clinical utility, integrating testing into existing care pathways, and ensuring that health systems are prepared for wider use.
Chaired by Dr Fiona Carragher, Chief Policy and Research Officer at the Alzheimer’s Association, the meeting will feature opening presentations from Professor Vanessa Raymont of the University of Oxford and Professor Jeff Burns of the University of Kansas, followed by a round-table discussion. Additional speakers will be announced. The dialogue will explore how emerging biomarker technologies can move from research settings into real-world health systems and what evidence, infrastructure, and policy changes are required to support their effective adoption.
