Competencies and Language for Living Well with Dementia
October 14 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Centre for Dementia webinar – Competencies and language for living well with dementia.
Join the Centre for Dementia for a webinar with Leonie Copraij, from the Living Well with Dementia research group.
Leonie will share two of the group’s projects, both looking at why language and everyday interactions matter so much for living well with dementia.
The first project draws on the views of people living with dementia and their families about the competencies they want to see in health and social care professionals. The second tackles harmful stereotypes of dementia through language, with the aim of encouraging more respectful and supportive ways of talking about dementia.
The webinar takes place on Microsoft Teams, and you need to register in advance to receive the joining details.
