Living Well with Lewy: Education, Connection and Empowerment
October 10 @ 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

The Lewy Body Dementia Association’s 2026 Community Conference Series comes to Peoria, Arizona, with Living Well with Lewy: Education, Connection and Empowerment. The free one-day event brings together clinicians, researchers and the Lewy body dementia community for education, support and connection.
The conference runs on Saturday 10 October 2026, from 08:30 to 15:30 local time (Arizona), at the Peoria Community Center (William L. Patena Community Center), Calderwood Room, 8335 W. Jefferson Street, Peoria, AZ 85345.
What the day covers
Speakers include leading clinicians, researchers and experts from LBDA and its Arizona Collaborative Research Center of Excellence, which includes Mayo Clinic and Banner Sun Health Research Institute. The programme will cover:
- Common symptoms of Lewy body dementia
- Diagnosis
- Treatment approaches
- Caregiving strategies
- Current research developments
Sessions will also look at practical ways to navigate cognitive, emotional and visual changes, preparing for palliative care, and supporting the needs of care partners. It is a community event, so it is a good chance for researchers in the region to hear directly from people affected by LBD.
