Save the Date: SHARP & Scottish Lipid Forum Annual Meeting 2026
12 – 13 November 2026 | Crieff Hydro Hotel
We are pleased to announce that this year’s SHARP and Scottish Lipid Forum Annual Meeting will take place on 12 and 13 November 2026 at Crieff Hydro Hotel.
We’re looking forward to another year of bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, students, and industry partners from across Scotland and beyond for two inspiring days of discussion, learning, and collaboration.
This year’s programme is being developed by Professor Mary Joan MacLeod, Chair of SHARP, and Dr Rosemary Clarke, Chair of the Scottish Lipid Forum, alongside the SHARP Executive Committee and contributions from our trustees. Together, they are incorporating feedback from previous meetings to create a varied, relevant, and engaging programme.
The Annual Meeting provides a unique opportunity to explore how the latest evidence, data, national policy developments, and research are shaping clinical practice. It is also an important forum for sharing experiences, strengthening professional networks, and encouraging collaboration across primary and secondary care.
What to Expect
Delegates can look forward to an engaging programme featuring expert lectures, interactive workshops, cutting-edge research presentations, and excellent networking opportunities. The event is designed to encourage collaboration, discussion, and the exchange of ideas across disciplines and specialties.
Programme Focus
This year’s meeting will explore key topics shaping cardiovascular disease prevention, lipid management, and clinical practice.
The SHARP programme will include sessions on national data programmes and clinical audit, the management of cardiovascular disease in patients with cancer, and updates on emerging antithrombotic therapies.
Delegates will also hear from speakers working across Scotland’s remote and rural communities, who will share innovative approaches to care and discuss the challenges of delivering services in diverse settings, including stroke care and the use of GLP-1 receptor agonists.
The Scottish Lipid Forum programme will address important questions in lipid care, including the role of lipid management in older adults and where lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] currently fits within clinical practice.
The draft programme will be published shortly.
