If you’d like to understand the structure and function of the nervous system, and you’re interested in the neurophysiology of behaviour, Neuroscience is the course for you.

To understand the properties of neurons and neural networks, Neuroscience combines subjects such as:

  • anatomy
  • molecular biology
  • developmental biology
  • mathematical modelling.

You’ll learn from experts in the Sussex Neuroscience programme. We represent over 50 research groups working on the central nervous system, with specialisms including the neurobiology of neurodegenerative disease, and motor control and sensory systems.
