Tell us a little about yourself:

I am a psychologist working to scale up research in psychiatry – we do lots of data-science focused work and have our own smartphone app for connecting researchers to citizen scientists. Outside that – I have two great kids and a wonderful husband and try to strike a balance between work and home-life.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

I am training for a triathlon next month, though still struggling on my 5K runs.

Why did you choose to work in dementia?

I am fascinated by how the brain works, but also want my work to have impact. Working to advance our understanding of disorders of the mind gives me the right balance of those drives.

What book are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?

Never Better by Tommy Gorman. YES! A fascinating memoir of an RTE correspondent living with cancer since the 90s and how he navigated the healthcare system here and abroad to access life saving treatment
