If you’ve been diagnosed with dementia and want to make a difference, we’re inviting you to join EquaDem Network Plus—a UK-wide initiative aimed at breaking down barriers to accessing dementia diagnosis and care.
Who are we?
EquaDem Network Plus is a 5-year project bringing together researchers, charities, social care professionals, and NHS workers to find solutions to challenges in dementia diagnosis and care. Your lived experience is key to shaping these solutions, and we are actively seeking input from people with a dementia diagnosis.
What will you do?
By joining us, you’ll be part of:
- A public consultation group or our core members team.
- Meetings with professionals working to improve the dementia care pathway.
- Conferences and workshops (both face-to-face and online), sharing your valuable insights.
Your role:
- Share your personal experience of dementia diagnosis and care.
- Provide feedback on ways to improve the current system.
- Attend 2-4 core member meetings per year.
What support will you receive?
- You can attend meetings as and when you feel able—there’s no pressure to overcommit.
- We’ll cover travel expenses for events, and you’re welcome to bring a support person with you.
- You’ll have someone to assist you at every step, whether attending in person or online.
