European Alzheimer Academy Workshop
March 17 - March 21
The European Alzheimer Academy Workshop aims to provide an overview of the latest developments in the Alzheimer’s Disease research field. The workshop is especially targeted at ambitious early career dementia scientists. Over the course of 4 days the participants will hear a collection of talks by prominent Alzheimer’s Disease scientists, combined with daily professional development sessions. In these sessions, the speakers, committee members, and staff will train the participants in skills such as successful grant writing, finding their research niche, and academic mentorship.
We will end with a big scientific discussion together with the keynote speakers on the state of Alzheimer’s Disease research and treatment with the arrival of the new anti-amyloid antibodies.
The European Alzheimer Academy Workshop is organized by Alzheimer Forschung Initiative e.V. , Alzheimer Nederland , and Fondation Vaincre Alzheimer , which are non-profit organizations from Germany, the Netherlands, and France, respectively. These organizations collaborate in a unique network to fund scientific and medical research on Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias.
Since 1994 the network has supported dementia research with more than 50 million Euros, thanks to their many generous donors. The network funds exceptional research, both nationally and in cross-border projects, and is dedicated to helping early career dementia researchers reach their full scientific potential.
