ON-FIRE Conversations: an introduction to language and speech therapy in dementia. Online via Zoom on Thursday 15 October 2026, 15:00–16:00.
The ON-FIRE study team hosts Dr Anna Volkmer from University College London, who is introducing language and speech therapy in dementia. The session covers the ground that matters for both clinical and research work, and there is time to ask questions or bring your own experience into the discussion.
Anna is a speech and language therapist and researcher whose work focuses on communication difficulties in dementia, including speech and language therapy in primary progressive aphasia and the Better Conversations approach.
ON-FIRE is the Open Network for Frontotemporal dementia Inflammation REsearch, a UK-wide network led by Dr Maura Malpetti at the University of Cambridge. The Conversations series is open to everyone, ON-FIRE collaborators and otherwise.
