UKDTN/ARUK – Clinical Trial Placement Pilot Programme

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) UK Dementia Trials Network (UKDTN) and Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) are hosting a webinar to explore the Clinical Trial Placement Pilot Programme, an optional component of the ARUK Doctoral Clinical Fellowship Programme.
This exciting opportunity is designed to give aspiring clinical academics hands-on experience in dementia clinical trials, with the aim of developing future leaders in clinical trial research. The session will include short presentations introducing UKDTN’s mission and strategic goals by Professor John-Paul Taylor, alongside an overview of the ARUK Doctoral Clinical Fellowship programme and placement opportunity, presented by Eve Chapman.
A panel discussion will follow featuring current UKDTN Clinical Trial Fellows sharing their perspectives on what it is like to be part of UKDTN and to work at the forefront of Alzheimer’s and dementia research. The webinar aims to inspire early career researchers to explore opportunities in clinical research and consider pursuing a similar path.
