What does your role involve:

I work as an editor for PLOS ONE, which is a large interdisciplinary open access journal. My role is varied and includes assessment of manuscripts when they are first submitted to the journal and representing the journal at scientific conferences. I am also involved in projects to develop editorial policy and promote the journal.

Tell us a little about yourself:

Before my time in publishing I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, where I also completed my PhD. During my time in research I became interested in open science and initiatives to improve the reproducibility of scientific research. I have worked as an editor at PLOS ONE for just under two years.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

Last year I cycled over 10,000 miles.
