I am particularly interested in understanding ageing, health and quality of life. My research background is in cognitive ageing and neuroscience with interest in attention and inhibition. I’m currently working in rare diseases.

I enjoy board games, nature and cooking. I am passionate about finding a career that doesn’t feel like work and have moved several times in pursuit of this!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
The weirdest research job I had was as an intern when I had to hoover people’s homes to collect dust samples!
Why did you choose to work in dementia research?
I was raised by an older parent, so I learned early on how people perceived older adults and learned to get curious about ageing!
What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?
I was once like you are now and I know that it’s not easy To be calm when you’ve found something going on But take your time, think a lot Think of everything you’ve got For you will still be here tomorrow but your dreams may not
What book are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?
Six of Crows and yes, so far it is good!
Favourite ways to unplug and unwind?
Listening to music, going for a hike, playing with my dog, video games.
Favourite film of all time?
Tough call but Dune has to be up there!
