Forefront Webinar – VR Cognition Tests & Coping with Academic Stressors

Our first Forefront Webinar delivered in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society was recorded on the 27th August 2021 – hosted by Adam Smith, Programme Director at University College London.

The Forefront Webinars Series is livestreamed on Zoom and YouTube on the last Friday of each month – in each webinar there are two sessions, the first comes from an Alzheimer’s Society funded Researcher presenting on their work, and the second is an essential careers sessions to keep you at the forefront of your field.

In this first webinar Adam Smith was joined by Coco Newton from University of Cambridge & Dr Clare Jonas from Alzheimer’s Society. Coco Newton, University of Cambridge “Virtual reality navigation tests – new cognitive markers for preclinical Alzheimer’s disease?” This talk presents a new approach to cognitive assessments in preclinical Alzheimer’s disease, translating insights from cognitive neuroscience into the neural correlates of spatial navigation located in the entorhinal-hippocampal circuit.’ Dr Clare Jonas, Research Communications Officer from the Alzheimer’s Society presents “Coping with academic stressors”
