NIHR Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowship Masterclass – Part One

Applying for an NIHR Doctoral or Postdoctoral Fellowship on a mental health or neuroscience topic? This two-part online masterclass from the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) is designed to help you build a competitive application ahead of the Cohort 4 deadlines in December 2026 and January 2027.
Part One runs online on Thursday 5 November 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 UK time.
What Part One covers
Part One walks you through the application itself, section by section, covering:
- Your narrative CV
- Supervision and your support team
- Patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE)
- Your training and development plan
- Your budget
Part Two, on Thursday 19 November 2026, turns to the research project itself: the scientific abstract, the lay summary and the detailed research plan. Both sessions share one registration form, so it is worth signing up for the pair.
