On Monday 14th January 2019 UK DRI held its first live streamed event hosted at the UK DRI Hub@UCL. The event, ‘Meet the Funders’ saw representatives from major UK dementia Funders (MRC, Wellcome, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society) describing support schemes suitable for early career researchers and a presentation of the Dementia Researcher website from NIHR.
To conclude the afternoon, Profs. Nick Fox and Giampietro Schiavo (UK DRI@UCL) provided insights on their experience as grant reviewers and some precious grantsmanship tips.
Thanks to them, to all the Funders and to those who attended the event in person and online (we had a full house in the seminar room and over 130 online contacts during the live stream)
