Tell us a little about yourself:
I was born and grew up in Italy, where I also studied for my BSc in Psychology. I was awarded a PhD from Keele University, and then went on to post-docs at the University of Southampton, the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research. I became Research Assistant Professor at New York University – School of Medicine (Center of Excellence on Brain Aging), before returning to the UK, which once was known as part of Europe. I am currently a Reader in Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University where I continue to study Memory and Dementia. Why did you choose to work in Dementia?
It was a happy accident.
