A 60-minute live webinar on Thursday 12 November 2026 at 3pm (UK time) on multi-analyte blood biomarker testing in Alzheimer’s disease clinical research, with experts from Taudia and Quantigen.

Blood-based biomarkers are playing a growing part in Alzheimer’s clinical trials, and choosing the right markers and testing strategy matters. Much of the attention so far has gone on single markers such as pTau217. This session looks at a validated 5-plex laboratory-developed test (LDT) that measures pTau-217, Aβ40, Aβ42, NfL and GFAP at the same time, and at how markers of neuronal injury and astrocytic activation can add to amyloid and tau to give a broader view of the disease.

Speakers from Taudia and Quantigen will cover the validation, analytical performance and clinical utility of the assay. Participants will:

  • Learn about Taudia’s SPLASH technology for ultrasensitive detection.
  • Gain a clear understanding of how Quantigen validated Taudia’s AD 5-plex assay.
  • Learn the key differences between an LDT and an IVD assay.
  • Compare a 5-plex biomarker test with single-biomarker testing for AD, including the clinical rationale for each target.
  • Explore when an LDT assay is the right choice for clinical research.

The webinar is designed for clinical researchers and trial sponsors, and combines expert presentations with moderated discussion and live audience Q&A. For the wider picture on where blood tests are heading in the UK, see UK experts’ guidance on who should get an Alzheimer’s blood test.

This educational webinar is supported by Taudia.
