Tell us a little about yourself:
My interest in dementia research began at a young age by a school project exploring what dementia is and whether a cure may be possible. This academic curiosity grew during my Biochemistry degree at the University of Bath and a year in the pharmaceutical industry researching Alzheimer’s disease, motivating me to pursue a PhD focused on microRNAs in LBD.

I play lacrosse and pickleball
Why did you choose to work in dementia?
I completed a project at school exploring ‘What is dementia? Will there ever be a cure?’. My curiosity in the field grew greatly during my Biochemistry degree at the University of Bath and a year in the pharmaceutical industry researching Alzheimer’s disease, ultimately motivating me to pursue a PhD focused on microRNAs in LBD.
What single piece of advise would you give to an early career researcher?
Always apply to present at a conference. It’s really helped to refine my public speaking skills and given me lots of opportunities.
Favourite ways to unplug and unwind?
I love to exercise and try new recipes in my free time!
