Watch the recording of Support That Matters, a recent webinar held as part of the DEMFEST Festival of Applied Dementia Research. The session explored the use of creative approaches in dementia research and support, sharing work produced by people living with dementia and their supporters.

The webinar includes:

  • Contributions from artists with lived experience of dementia
  • An overview of the ‘Support That Matters’ project and how it was developed
  • Brief presentations from researchers working on related topics, including depression, care, and social isolation
  • A reading of a poem by Keith Oliver reflecting on involvement in research

The project brought together researchers, artists, carers, and people living with dementia in a series of workshops to consider what “support” means. The artworks created during these sessions are presented in the short exhibition film shown at the end of the webinar.
