Tell us a little about yourself:            

I am a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Glasgow, where I work on the role of extracellular vesicles in stroke and hypertension. I’m particularly passionate about the progression of Early Career Researchers, helping others to achieve their full potential and horse riding!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

I signed up to the London Marathon ballot (after a couple of glasses of bubbles…) thankfully I’ve been rejected!

Why did you choose to work in dementia?

I love how so little is known about the brain and brain vasculature, let alone when it goes wrong! Its incredible!

What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?

Work for someone you respect and admire.

What book are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?

Burnout – Emily & Amelia Nagoski – yes! Particularly if you are a woman in science!
