In January, I joined Dr Lorraine Work’s group, where I research preclinical and clinical stroke at the University of Glasgow. I have always had a keen interest in public engagement and science communication – I take every opportunity I get to chat to others about science!

Random fun fact… I bought my horse Rua off Gumtree!
Why did you choose to work in dementia?
I love Neuroscience – I have previously worked in addiction, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. But what interests me the most, is how little we still really know about the brain and its pathologies, especially in conditions such as dementia.
