I work in the Science Communications team at Alzheimer’s Research UK. Making the exciting dementia research out there as engaging and as accessible as possible to supporters and the public is a key part of this role Our media work for science stories provides accurate, eye-catching and swift responses to often late-breaking news stories. We are always looking for opportunities to talk about the work of Alzheimer’s Research UK, raise awareness of dementia and promote better brain health. We support the fundraising teams; finding and creating accessible content about success stories, our projects and scientists for public and donor-facing communications to inspire support.

Tell us a little about yourself:
At university I did a placement year in research and soon realised it wasn’t for me. From there I looked at careers in science communications. I started working at a Medical outreach company called Medical Mavericks where I had to present workshops to school children about NHS careers. After that I moved into the Communications team at Alzheimer’s Research UK.

I can solve a rubix cube!

Passionate about helping people living with dementia.
