In my role as project officer at Alzheimer Europe I am involved in various European projects about early diagnosis and risk reduction, promoting research participation and about palliative care in dementia.

I recently completed my PhD at Maastricht University within the field of dementia risk reduction. I am quite European-minded and have lived in Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium and the UK.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
I have really small ears (but can hear very well!)
Why did you choose to work in dementia research?
As a neuropsychologist by training, I was always fascinated by the brain. At the same time I am also moved by the severe impact dementia can have on the lives of people affected.
What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?
Don’t get too stressed before your PhD defense and enjoy the process!
