Tell us a little about yourself:
I graduated with a degree in Electrical engineering and completed a PhD in Nanoscience from Cambridge University. I always enjoyed working with and discovering new insights from data which led me to a career path in data science. I recently joined Cognetivity where I am applying data analysis, visualisation and modelling techniques to dementia detection and monitoring of brain health.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
I started supporting Liverpool after I received their shirt as a gift from my mum who didn’t follow football much. Unfortunately for me we lived in Manchester at the time which made for a challenging experience as a Liverpool fan!
Why did you choose to work in dementia?
Coming from an engineering background I have been fascinated to learn about dementia and the enormous challenges it presents; from the fundamental science of the underlying diseases, to diagnosis, treatment and wider societal impact. I find it hugely rewarding to work in dementia and motivated to make a contribution, especially in the area of more accurate and early diagnosis.
